There are some of the most frequently asked questions about owning a Peloton bike. Purchasing Peloton bike shoes seems to be the most common stumbling block. And I understand.

I used to ride a standard bike in regular sneakers before I got my Peloton bike shoes. My pedals did have toe cages or shoe cages. However, I had never ridden a road bike while wearing clip-in bike shoes.

That all changed in 2016 when we acquired a Peloton bike. At the time, the bike included a complimentary pair of shoes. My husband and I both have extremely wide feet. Some can argue that his feet are more difficult to fit due to his unusually high arch.

Yes, they are. They are your best bet for peloton-compatible shoes, as they eliminate the need for time-consuming testing. Additionally, they are of superior design, just like the bike.

The best Peloton bike shoes are those that suit your feet comfortably and within your budget. If the price on the Peloton website is the best available, then purchase those shoes. As I previously said, even my husband, who has wide, difficult-to-fit feet, found that the Peloton brand shoes fit him.

My husband has been wearing them since 2016, and they still seem to be brand new, likewise, with my Bontrager shoes. They’ve been with me on every trip, and I ride every day. They are all in excellent condition.

Do you really need the peloton shoes?

No way! Peloton bikes at home have LOOK Delta cleats, while commercial Peloton bikes have SPD cleats, so as long as you have spin shoes with the right cleat, you’re good to go.
